Yesterday I exposed my distaste and personal opinion that by and large the baby boomer generation is a bunch of spoiled hypocrites who are more concerned about getting their way than with anything else. 'Politically Correct' speaking is a favorite of their's mainly because they get their way and bully you into using one term instead of another term. Gay Marriage is a good example. They want to take away the word that means 'Committed to a partner of the opposite sex'. But that is a post for another day. I digress.
Mr Brokaw's evaluation, and documentation of the generation that fought World War II gives him the credentials of a real historian. So, it it is with bated breath that I watch Mr Brokaw's show tonight at 9pm on CNBC. I have to admit that I am skeptical that someone of a generation that he or she is part of can have a critical view of it. It is my expectation that this is really just and advertisement for their secret dream of socialism, and part of their secret fist bump rituals done in between smoking joints.
I think he'll be talking about a generation arriving to the promised land, thanks to Barrack Obama.
Will he explore the GenX and GenY point view?
Will he explore the Baby Boomer hypocrisy?
- "Drugs were so cool! But you shouldn't do them.
- Violence and protests really made us feel like we were being heard, but you Tea Party people are scaring the crap out of us!
It is my guess that this is a kamikaze mission similar to that happening in congress. He will be using sentimental warm and touchy feely images to peel away some of the boomers who are scared stiff about Obamacare.
It will be interesting to see.
